Gay clubbing Zurich goes into 2007
Maybe you want to know what happend to our clubbing scene after the closing of Labyrinth Club. The Laby reopened 3 weeks later. It was a nice birthday party even if everybody was afraid of Big Brother. As we left the club in the early Sunday morning, a police officer stopped us on the walkway to the bus station. They searched us till under our genitals. I even had to put of my shoes, socks and underwear. "Could you please lift your balls that I can watch if there are some drugs hidden underneath?"
Of course they found nothing and had to let us go. But it seams like Zurichs city police has chosen the party people as their new public enemy number one. We were not the only ones who were searched and the following weekends the stop-and-search operations went on. There are many unsolved problems in our city but they don't have something better to do than to search harmless party guys on their way home. So if you gonna visit Zurich - Always be prepared to show your balls to some policemen!
In December we started to enjoy our home cinema more than the clubbing scene. I don't wanna say that there are only good parties with people taking drugs. But if they also forbid us to have sex then parties really get boring. The fact is that the police also wants to outlaw all darkrooms. Just because HIV infections increased and the think that AIDS only grows in club scene.
