No more no darkrooms
It seems that we were successful with our protest at CSD. The police allowed the club owners to reopen their darkrooms without new build walls and seperate entrances. Obviously they realised that there is no reason to forbid sex at an event for adult people who appreciate this atmosphere, and that it makes no sense to compare a gay club with doorman and entrance fee with a public restaurant for a family's afternoon tea. The condition for reopening was that they should not advertise for it. So now we don't have clubs with darkrooms but we have clubs where there are no more no darkrooms
The end of the sex ban is not the end of police presence in the club scene. They still persue very hard all illegal party drugs and often search people leaving a club in the morning. So if you think of smoking a joint or even taking an ecstasy at a party, be prepared to be treaten as a very bad criminal.
The new popular drug for the party boys around 20 is to drink until you drop. Unfortunately our politicians don't see the correlation.
