Court decides end of Zurich's prudery
After many prude years Zurich's gay scene can breathe again. The cantonal court (second instance) approves in its conviction that in gay bars with admission control there may apply other rules than in a public tea room. The call for law and order in public bars should not impose the moral rules of the majority on a minority.
In fact it means that now it's possible again in Zurich to organise adult gay parties where everyone can be as gay as his cock is born. All you need is a door man who enforces the age check. It's no question of special permits, walls or curtains and the security can finally go on looking for the safety of the guests and no longer play our super nanny.
The misery of Zurich's gay scene began last year with the closing-down of a gay fetish bar because police men who visited the club caught a gay couple fucking in the cellar. The bar owner got fined and a judge decided that a club owner must always ensure law and order regardless if it is a gay bar or a first class restaurant. After this decision the police closed-down all darkrooms in Zurich's gay clubs and bars. After the gay organisations took the case to the second instance a few clubs got a limited darkroom permit but it was strictly forbidden to have any kind of sex in all other rooms. This resulted in an annoying fulltime surveillance of all guests by police men and (heterosexual) security guys who had the order to kick out everyone who shows his dick.
I am VERY happy about our reclaimed freedom. There is nothing better than naked guys and gay sex in the middle of techno dance club. Finally Zurich is back as a cosmopolitan city of gays!
